The CURE Campaign is looking for an intern who would join our international team between 15 August and 1 September 2022 for the period of three months. The internship will take place mostly online, the intern will be ideally based in Strasbourg, France.

Campaign to Uphold Rights in Europe (CURE) is an initiative of 15 leading European civil society organisations from across the European continent. It was established in January 2022. The main goal of the Campaign is to make the Council of Europe stronger, and the voice of civil society more prominently heard. CURE is represented by the Steering Committee, day‐to‐day tasks are conducted by the Secretariat. The Secretariat is hosted by the EU‐Russia Civil Society Forum, based in Berlin, Germany. Many CURE activities take place in Strasbourg, which is the most desirable location of the internship.

Job summary:

This position is full‐time (40 hours per week) or part‐time (32 hours per week). The intern will assist the activities of the Secretariat of the CURE Campaign. The internship must be mandatory for student as part of studies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Administrative and logistical support for CURE events (General assembly of CURE members in Strasbourg, side event during PACE session, advocacy visits in EU countries);
  • Attending CURE and partner NGOs events that will take place in Strasbourg, assistance on spot;
  • Assistance with drafting, proofreading and editing various documents in English (statements,policy papers);
  • Participation in online meetings and events, minutes taking;
  • Other tasks depending on the intern ́s specialisation and interests


  • Enrolment at an EU university for the entire duration of the internship;
  • Interest in Council of Europe and/or international human rights protection mechanisms;
  • Interest in project/event management at international level;
  • Ability to effectively work both in a team and independently;
  • Very good command of English.
