September 24-27, in Warsaw, the members of the Civic Education working group organized the work of the “Think critically!” Expert laboratory. That is how the project started, supported by a grant from the EU-Russia Civil Forum.
11 experts from NGOs and initiative groups from Russia, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Hungary participated. The participants discussed the experience of teaching critical thinking in the represented countries, got acquainted in detail with the experience of a number of Polish organizations, and started developing their materials. As a result of intensive work, in a short time it was possible to develop working options for training on teaching critical thinking for teachers and materials for testing a mass audience. This is almost a finished product prepared by an international team of experts working group. Further, the materials will be refined to take into account the specifics of the perception of the audience in different countries. After that, their promotion in educational practice will begin.
