Alumni and followers of Europe Lab know that since 2015 we have travelled to Lithuania, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Italy and Slovenia with our Lab. In 2020 we finally go West!

In the beginning of March, the Europe Lab coordinator Barbara Anna Bernsmeier travelled to Amsterdam, Assen and Groningen to prepare for a 6th edition of Europe Lab in the Netherlands. She was supported by Ralph du Long, former Board member and chair of the EU-Russia Civil Society Forum and member of the parliament of Drenthe province. Barbara and Ralph met with colleagues at local museums and memorials, had a look at many inspiring and creative venues and also brainstormed for the topics of the Lab, which all will be closely connected to the current social and political agenda in the Netherlands. Just a small spoiler: climate, energy and sustainability, dealing with the colonial past, social cohesion and community-driven development were discussed very vividly.

Due to the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic the team cannot foresee at the moment if the summer Lab can take place as traditionally at the end of July. The further plans for 2020 will be announced later in April.
