On 2 February 2017 a new CSF Migration Working Group was established at the General Assembly in Helsinki. CSF Migration Working Group members decided that Balint Josa from UNITED for Intercultural Action Budapest will be the coordinator of this group with Natalia Zviagina from Human Rights House in Voronezh as a co-coordinator.
We are still open to other members of the Forum to join the working group.
We also created a list of potential topics to work on in the next years. The idea is to chose a topic or some topics and work on it together:
The rule of law in asylum detention centres in the EU and Russia;
Integration tests compared in the EU and Russia;
Vulnerable groups: children/women;
Unaccompanied minors -especially the disappearance of youngsters from asylum centres due to trafficking;
Migrants (social) entrepreneurship;
Narrative: the EU migration policy explained for the Russian public;
Bridging the gap between academic research (on migration) and NGO;
Rise of populist groups/hate crimes/hate speech;
Integration of Refugees to welcoming countries;
Access to Healthcare (on the way, at the country).
Thank you for your committed cooperation to move the topic further!
